Things you didn’t know about me. or may be you knew already.

1) I love plantains

2) I frequently sing the Phantom of the Opera’s Music of the Night at the top of my lungs. Why? No reason.

3) My husband taught me to play Rummy, before then I had no clue.

4) I write because I can’t stop.

5) I dance around my house like a mad woman and it’s not part of my fitness routine.

6) Up until Sunday I’ve never attempted to jog. I now hurt like hell, but I’m planning on doing it again.

Misadventures at Panera!

Misadventures at Panera!

So as I write this my skin is crawling still hours later. Why? you ask. Well outside of my local Panera there is a Tree which is pretty close to the building itself. That’s not the problem it’s what lives in the tree that’s the problem. Caterpillars. Hundreds of them. they live on the wall, on the tree and then attempted to climb up on my car. That didn’t end well for them.

I’m not a squeamish chick, well most of the time but those things were gross and trying to hitch a ride on my car so they could eat my lovely rose bushes is a no no. So i felt no remorse about driving off and squishing a few.

And then since my hubby had managed to get the plants for our garden in the ground I was doubly happy i’d squished them…

that is until I was Driving alone to the post office and discovered there was one in my car. I wonder do lizards eat caterpillars because I have a few living on my back porch. Meet the tiny dinosaurs that live there.

He certainly looks like he could take them on.

And A Bonus
Happy 70th Birthday Aunt Patsy!

I was going to put her picture up, then I remembered that she wouldn’t be happy about that so I went the safe route.

Just an everday Wednesday!

Just an everday Wednesday!

Last Saturday was my birthday! My Girls and I went to Brunch! And then because we’re all bitten by the writing bug put in a few hours in a local Borders. Yep that’s a perfect Saturday for me surrounded by books. though I had no idea how hard it was to get a table there. It turned out people liked to leave stuff on the tables while they wandered thorough the store. Oh well to each his own.

I got home and the geeks that invade my house every weekend stayed just long enough to wish me Happy Birthday! and give me huge hugs. The Hubby cooked me Swordfish and Lobster, with a bottle of sparkling white wine. Soooo Good.

Other than that today is just an ordinary, average Wednesday I’m just one year older and Happy about it. After-all the alternative is death.
