Busy, Busy, Busy!
Hi everybody! Sorry I’ve been away for so long. I pretty much achieved everything on my summer to do list with the kids. Everything except Disney. Honestly it was way to hot and grandma turned out to be really busy as well.
We had a good and eventful summer. We made it to Charleston, WV. Atlanta, GA and I took a week and spent celebrated my birthday and my cousins in Chicago, IL. Just the two of us, no kids, no husbands.
Chicago is a cool place, but I live in Florida my poor feet didn’t know what too make of all the walking. I do have to tell you that it did bring to light that I need to get into shape. A friend of mine in ATl is well on her way to getting there. So proud of you Nicki.
Still writing. Just finished plotting my next project. I know you looked at my side bar and want to know what’s happened with Vundracon. It needs re plotting and I’ll get to it I promise. I also promised Myself that since I started this new one I have to finish the rough draft before M&M
I’ve also decided that that was one of the things holding me back. I have a tendency to start on an idea and then for one reason or another get stuck and then I move on to somethingelse. So I”m going to finish what I start. I’ve proven I can do that with Folklore, I can do it again with Psycokinesis(that’s the working title).
So rejoice with me, we now have a budget. I’ve plotted and written a rough draft of a synopsis fo Psycokinesis and have begun to write the rough draft. Folklore is in Query hell and I have other project waiting to be finished.
Figure out whats holding you back from achieving your goals and power through them. That’s my challenge to you. If you feel like drop me a line .
See you later. Hugs, much hugs. Chudney.
A Little history, drama and celebration all rolled into one.
This week was an odd one for me. My father is neck deep in work for the carnival season back home in St. Vincent. which means whenever I catch up to him he’s either getting home to take a much needed nap or leaving to go to work.
He runs his own radio station, Nice Radio. My brother manages the sound system and DJ end of the business. This isn’t the only business we have. Daddy is a master of all trades. Suffice it to say that I grew up above a recording studio and at one time we owned and import export business. Now we import. Here’s the thing my father has never let anything back him into a corner. If something doesn’t work he has another idea up his sleeve.
Sometimes he’s weary, other time I can only talk to him as long as he’s in the car because he’s so busy when he gets home he just wants to sleep. Unfortunately for now he has to maintain this pace.
Which leads me to my brother, who while attempting to ease some of the burden on my father’s shoulders fell asleep at the wheel and hit another vehicle. He survived as did the passengers of the other car. But he was so exhausted because of the work schedule. On SVG when jobs come in you have to take them, because the time between Carnival and Christmas is slow. He was doing his part to make sure that they got done. I’m proud of him and extremely relieved that nothing happened to him or anyone else. I just hope nothing like this happens again.
As for the celebration: my beloved Aunt Susan the baby of the family turned 50 this month actually yesterday. the girls and i sang happy birthday to her via cell phone. We love you Aunty Susie!
Aunty Susan has always been there through the thick and the thin. She is an inspiration. At 40 she went back to school and got her Masters. To do this she had to sell her Franchise, Mothercare and Clarks, and move not only herself but her son to England. Which of course benefited Edmund her son. Now she runs her own human resources firm. There’s a lot I’m not saying but she knows what I’m talking about.
So Happy Birthday!

Busy Working.
Hello all. I’ve been busy working, editing one project and writing another. Not to mention working my day job.
I’m really thankful my day job is only part-time. Though I must say it feels as if it’s full time. It also means that I won’t be getting a pay check this summer. But that comes with the territory.
Speaking of summer, I now have to keep two children, nine and three busy for long stretches of time. Of course there will be Vacation Bible school put on by our church. My kids are good, as long as they have something to occupy them.
So here’s what I’ve come up with .
1) The Orlando Science Center
They’re opening the adventures of Mr. Potato Head.
Of course the house The of Mouse:
3)Disney World
4) Bowling. I think they even have glow in the dark golf.
5) Free summer movies courtesy of Regal Cinemas
Okay so back to working. This is all I can think of right now if you have any suggestions I’d love to hear them.
Oh and what are you going to be up to this summer?
The Weekend is over 🙁
To all my friends and family, my writing compatriots. I felt the need for a pick me up, so I found this song from Aswad. Shine, it was released in 1994 . Enjoy.
Oookay!
So I’m sitting on my writing couch, and I hear from the TV. “And Stunned by surprise.”
My hubby just happened to be watching the tale end of “Hells Kitchen.”. Really? Can you be stunned by surprise? Just a thought.

Guitar Hero.
So in the midst of me trying to finish my paranormal. My husband has introduced guitar hero into the house. Not just regular Guitar hero , Metallica.
Now to be fair he’s been playing the other over at my neighbors house since Geno (that’s my neighbor) got it.
So in order to get some peace because he’s been bugging me to try it. I picked up the guitar. that and to prove to my very gun shy nine year old that trying new things is a good for you.
Which mean what? My eyes get all scrambled trying to follow the notes and I now have a need to conquer the damned thing. My husband once said i wasn’t competitive enough. This because i refused to play spoons with him and his family. I’m sorry but when you see some of the claws that come out with the aggression a smart woman keeps her hands out of that pile.
I’m competitive I just choose when to be. Ok so I’m rambling but hey, my ie year old tired something new.
Well Hell!
It’s been a busy couple of Months. I’ve :
1) Judged for two contest, still judging for the third.
2)been busy raising my kids.
3)been busy raising my DH (just kidding).
4) Went down south to deal with a family emergency. [British relative had to be Medivaced into Miami from the caribbean. They ended up spending two weeks getting my uncle in shape to make the ten hour flight back home to London. I spent a few days just making sure they could get around.]
5) Finally kicked it in gear with the writing . I’m almost done.
6) Finally decided that yes I will be going back for my masters. That also means I have to do the dreaded GRE.
7) By the way 5 and 6 mean that I’ve been looking at my life plan. Yes I’m a writer, Yes I will be published [at some point] so I must look at my life and organize it accordingly.
It’s been busy and crazy but I’m working on balancing my life. I say that as I watch all the balls I juggle, hoping that none of them drop.
Happy Easter!
I know I’ve been absent but my excuses are going to have to wait for another day. Part of it is I’m being more disciplined in my writing. Anywho!
My kids are very happy to see that the Easter bunny has visited and left a basket of candy. Though the next part is getting them ready for church. But I think I can bribe them with the hunt for Easter eggs at grandma’s house.
Happy Easter Everybody! Chocolate eggs for every one.
